DESCRIPTION The Royal Oak is situated on a busy main road in the affluent market town of Clitheroe nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley in East Lancashire. Situated to the North of the town centre, the pub is close to plenty of houses as well as small businesses, and benefits from being just a five-minute walk from an abundance of cafes, bars, and boutique shops in the heart of the town. Clitheroe, is near the Forest of Bowland, and is often used as a base for tourists visiting the area. Pub Layout Upon entering through the roadside entrance customers are welcomed into the main trading area. There is fixed seating around two sides of the trading area, the well-stocked bar is along the right hand wall with a pool table to the rear of the pub. On the right-hand side past the bar there is a small snug area which could be utilised for a darts area and/or for putting on buffets. The toilets are to the left hand side of the main trading area. At the front of the pub there are a couple of benches and a small courtyard which customers use in the warmer months to have a drink and watch the world go by.

TRADING STYLE The Royal Oak offers a range of standard and premium lagers, ciders and traditional ales. There are two hand-pulls to complement the bar line up, dispensing local and national cask ales, and the back bar offers a traditional spirits range, along with an ever-growing selection of whisky’s, gins and rums. The pub has a loyal teatime trade, at weekends the customers enjoy drinks in a quiet and relaxed setting. The pub caters for those locals who don’t want to go into the busy town centre but want a great quality pint and to catch up with friends.
