The Stop and Rest is a charming community pub situated halfway up Brandy House Brow, a busy main road on the way to and from Blackburn town centre. Surrounded by plenty of housing and some small businesses, this pub serves the local community providing a welcome meeting place for friends to meet up, watch the football, play some darts or pool and have a few drinks. Blackburn General Hospital is less than half a mile away and it’s a similar distance to the shops, pubs and amenities of Blackburn’s bustling town centre. Local bus routes are in close proximity but most of the pub’s trade comes from the many houses nearby.

Upon entering The Stop & Rest Blackburn through the roadside entrance customers are welcomed into the main trading area. There is fixed seating around two sides of the trading area, the well-stocked bar is directly ahead with a pool room to the left and a raised seating area to the right. The toilets are to the left hand side of the main trading area. There is a small courtyard area to the rear of the pub that is primarily used for smokers
