Stop & Rest
Blackburn, BB2 3EY
The Stop and Rest is a charming community pub situated halfway up Brandy House Brow, a busy main road on the way to and from Blackburn town centre. Surrounded by plenty of housing and some small businesses, this pub serves the local community providing a welcome meeting place for friends to meet up, watch the football, play some darts or pool and have a few drinks. Blackburn General Hospital is less than half a mile away and it’s a similar distance to the shops, pubs and amenities of Blackburn’s bustling town centre. Local bus routes are in close proximity but most of the pub’s trade comes from the many houses nearby.

The Stop & Rest is a great community pub which has served the local area for years. There is an opportunity to build upon the existing trade and loyalty of the local community. With the right operator I would consider investing in the pub which may include a full internal redecoration along with refurbishment of the bar area, toilets and living accommodation. The vision is for the Stop & Rest is to continue be a great local community pub and to get the pub in a condition where it can serve local customers for years to come. Consideration can be made to the product range and retail offer which Admiral will support with. The proposed licensee needs to have a good knowledge or the local area and competition. An enthusiasm for football and music is desirable along with a real passion for quality beer in all its forms.
