The Castle is a semi-detached 1960’s pub in a prominent & bustling location on the Dudley High Street surrounded by local shops and amenities.  Dudley is a large market town in the West Midlands of England, six miles south of Wolverhampton and eight miles north of Birmingham. Admiral Taverns are looking to invest in this pub with the right licensee, which would include interior redecoration along with external signage to give the pub a strong curb side appeal.

Pub Layout –  The Castle Dudley

On entry you arrive in the main bar area where the servery is located to the left side of the pub and surrounded by a mix of loose and fixed seating. There is a pool table and juke box and there is potential to introduce teams running from the pub including darts, dominoes and pool.  To the rear of the pub is a large lounge / function room for up to 60 covers and is in good decorative order.  This area is not being used however with the correct marketing in place can generate further income to the business.  The ladies and gents toilets are located to the rear of the pub and there is also a door leading onto a smoking solution and a car park for up to ten cars and currently there is a parking charge facility in place to ensure customers use the car park.  The partially equipped catering kitchen is located next to the bar servery which could offer a simplified bar food offer.


Trading Style: The pub operates as a busy local community pub during the day. Live sports has previously been shown in the pub and has a good following at weekends, a licensee would wish to capture this custom.  Our vision is to maintain the existing trade, but to build and offer more to the community, utilising the full area of the pub as well as introducing a simple food offer which would provide an additional income stream. Admiral Taverns would  support with our in house catering executive.  There is also a lounge that is not being used and can be utilised for functions or by the community during the day for groups.


Private Accommodation The living accommodation is in reasonable order.  There are three good sized bedrooms along with a bathroom and kitchen.
