The Travellers Rest Newtown was set to be demolished in 2018 until Scott & Kerry rescued the pub & brought back to life
After camping there as a family & from a young boy Scott and frequently used the pub as a local, when the pub become available the family knew there was a an opportunity and real desire to restore the pub back to it’s former glory after a couple of years of decline.
The pub has now been lovingly restored by the Wakefield family with a real emphasise for well kept drinks and a great menu.
Why not enquire about hiring a pitch for camping , the pub has it’s washing & toilet facilities segregated for the camping fraternity and makes for a great stay in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
With local ale’s on the handpull and a mixture of favourites on keg there really is something for everyone to enjoy
