Are you someone who enjoys wine experiences in Hampshire ? News in from Hambledon Vineyard is that there’s a new range of educational wine evenings starting with Bottles and Bites Night Wine Club – Argentina & Uruguay on the 18th of May from 7-10pm.
“Relax and enjoy our new range of educational wine evenings, hosted by Education Manager Katrina, who will transport you to a different wine producing country every month. We start with a glass of our finest Hambledon fizz before tasting a minimum of four wines paired with a selection of light bites, typical of the wine country we are focusing on. For those who want to learn more after the tasting, there is also the opportunity to have a tour of our state-of-the-art, gravity-fed winery. Why not book 6 events or 12 events in advance to receive a discounted rate? Simply call the office for more details on how you can bag a bottles and bites bargain.
£35 per person, per event
£180 for 6 events, (£30 per person, per event – a total saving of £30)
£300 for 12 events (£25 per person, per event – a total saving of £120)
Argentina & Uruguay: We taste delicious wines from Mendoza, La Rioja, Salta, Patagonia and Montevideo, paired with a selection of bites including steak (of course!) and a dulce de leche dessert to finish. Salud!”

Wine Experiences In Hampshire – About Hambledon Vineyard :
A Labour of Love
We currently have three main vineyards covering 20 hectares on the slopes of Windmill Down (named after an ancient windmill) around the house. Each vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – the three grape varieties most commonly used in the production of Champagne.
Home Vineyard is planted on the steep Southeast-facing slope immediately beneath Mill Down House at between 50 and 100m above sea level. Our larger Windmill Down Vineyard spreads across the Southeast-facing slopes to the west of the house and winery. The third vineyard to the east of the house is, unsurprisingly, called East Vineyard!
Making wine is a labour of love and our vineyard team works hard all year round, in all weathers. Our 100,000 vines must be pruned by hand – like pruning the roses in your garden – and the grapes are handpicked in September and October. Our presses and winery are located on site, which means we can minimize the time between picking and pressing – a crucial factor to ensure the quality of the wine.
