The Kings pub in Albert Road is always a fun local pub to visit with lots of events and live music happening every week. Join them every Wednesday for their fun filled quiz night and then they start the weekend off early on a Thursday with ‘Ring My Bell’ karaoke where if you impress the staff and they ring the bell you will receive a free shot at the bar. The party carries on Friday and Saturday with karaoke and their residential DJ playing all the best tunes for you to party the weekend away.
One of the stand out pubs on Albert Road formerly a hotel with of course their fantastic function room.
Opened in 1910, replacing the Clarence Tavern that previously stood on the site, this imposing red brick building stands opposite the theatre of the same name on busy Albert Road.
No longer a hotel, The Kings now consists of a single, split-level bar room, with an ornately-carved counter running along the left-hand wall.
