Its restaurant and private dining room, the Chart Room, fully embrace the seafaring traditions of this lovely part of Hampshire. It’s this association that made the area around the River Hamble the ideal location for the filming of hit TV series Howards’ Way.

“We always receive attentive service and quality food, but on this day the food really excelled. We had starters and mains as we didn’t want to eat again in the evening. My Sea Bass was absolutely sublime with leeks and tiny brown prawns, with potatoes in a tasty sauce. The steak was also cooked to perfection. We eat out a lot, but this meal was the best in ages!!
