Your Hosts
John Miller and Jim Paget have both been in the hospitality business all their working lives; working together these past 35 years.
Jim tends to concentrate on the kitchen with John front of house and as ‘mine host’.
Both enjoy looking after their guests from the well-stocked bar and their wine collection.
This unique accommodation has recently been renovated with the wonderful and inimitable style that owners John Miller and Jim Paget love to present.
Situated between Chichester and Emsworth, Varr House offers all-round, breathtaking countryside views with stylish accommodation and an array of quirky collectibles.
Dining at Varr House Meadow View
If you are dining in Varr House, you will find the style of cuisine more along the lines of Nigel Slater, Antony Worrall Thompson or the beautiful Nigella.
Both have their place in good dining but Jim’s interest lies more with cooking from scratch, good portions of local meats, game and fish from the camber docks of Old Portsmouth
