DESCRIPTION
The Canal Tavern is a popular community pub situated in Kidsgrove, an ex mining town in the borough of Newcastle under Lyme. Admiral Taverns invested in this pub in early 2021 giving the pub a fresh and vibrant curb side appeal. The pub is located on the busy road with local housing and benefits from busy super markets near by and having idyllic views with its canal side setting.
Pub Layout – The Canal Tavern Kidsgrove
On entrance from the car park you are greeted with the bright and airy bar area, which has a pool table and darts board and is popular in the mid afternoons with people enjoying the Sports on TV and a relaxed drink. The bar services both the bar area and the back room. The back room is over two levels and would make a great dining space and could be used for functions as it holds around 60 covers with a mix of fixed a loose seating and the pub is in excellent condition throughout . This area leads on to the canal side beer garden which underwent investment and can seat around 40 people, this is a popular spot to enjoy a drink watching the world by. The front external drinking area also underwent investment with an enclosed drinking area. The car park is to the front of the pub and holds around 8 – 10 cars.

Trading Style: The pub currently trades as a community focused wet led pub. There is a commercial kitchen which a new tenant would wish to unlock this income stream and incorporate a good pub food snack menu.
