The Cross Keys Thropton is a historical and traditional public house, dating back to the 1830’s and is ideally situated in a prominent trading position within the village of Thropton, Northumberland. The Cross Keys Thropton is an appealing stone built detached pub. The main front entrance leads to a traditional snug with beamed ceiling, fireplace and timber bench style seating. The pub has a real feel in going back in time and any refurbishment / decorations really need to ensure that the character is retained as it is a clear key feature. The lounge bar area has fully carpeted flooring, timber panelled walls, bench style perimeter seating, fireplace and bar servery with full operational amenities. To the rear of the pub is a conservatory which is used as the restaurant area and can accommodate up to twenty four covers. The fully fitted commercial kitchen has a 6 ring double oven, deep fat fryer, microwave oven, two filter extraction canopies, hotplate, upright freezer, refrigerator/freezer, three stainless steel preparation tables and stainless steel shelving. To the left hand side of the pub is a large games room complete with pool table and dart board which also doubles up as a good sized function room which can host private functions as well as local society meetings such as folk, bridge and u3a meetings.
