The marquis of Westminster is beautiful corner pub full of character and trade over 3 floors, known for its great quality fresh food menu and welcoming feel. Popular with residents, workers and visitors staying in local hotels, offering a great selection of wines, house infused gins, fresh cocktails, cask ales and craft beers. The main bar offers an informal relaxed environment for drink and bar food, with 1st floor dining room and basement cellar bar offering cocktails, plus various entertainment from quiz nights, live jazz sessions and Comedy. We also benefit from addition external seating.
The successful General Manager will be an experienced operator with bags of proven experience within a premium restaurant & bar business, as our guests’ expectations for quality and standards are very high. The team pride themselves on delivering enhanced service with personality, high standards and classy soft touches and want a General Manager who shares their passion to exceed our customers’ expectations. We are looking for a General Manager with strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mind-set. A passion to win is essential to take this business forward into the future. Our successful General Manager with have strong people skills to keep retention high and quickly grasp knowledge of the surrounding areas to understand the different customer demographics and service expectations from affluent locals, weekend shoppers and hotel residents. Ideally as General Manager you will be experienced of managing a similar style business and confident in delivering weekly sales more than £20,000 to £30,000 (at peak) with the ability to control costs and deliver profit budget. You will also be able to demonstrate positively managing various customer profiles and strong leadership with a balanced focus on food / drink quality, standards, and sales.
