The Old Crown is a stunning pub on the outskirts of Tamworth. This great business has a bit of everything, it is first and foremost a great community pub that serves both food and drink. At the rear there is a huge garden area capable of seating up to 500 people. It also features an external service bar, nicely manicured alfresco dining area seating 50 people, snug bar seating 30 people and restaurant seating 60 people. This pub has the ability to flex up seasonally and when the sun shines this pub booms. The external area comes into its own when the weather is in our favour. The village has a demographic comprising of people in prestige positions and high earning families, so our standards need to match the desire of our guests in this pub.
We are looking for an experienced community pub operator/s to continue the current great work and sales growth. A real passion for excellent customer service is essential along with kitchen management and service. The village of Wigginton has many clubs and local teams who belong to the pub due to the current high levels of hospitality given. This needs to continue to secure the current success.

Things to consider
In addition to the £5k security deposit and legal fees required for this agreement, you will need to cover your own insurance, except building insurance, which we’ll cover. Also, you’ll want to start thinking about your team; taking care of paying them and all other employment matters.Before we all sign the agreement and see you heading into a whole new life, you’ll just need to show us proof that you’ve had independent financial advice from an accountant and solicitor, as dictated by the Statutory Pub Code. And, of course, obtain your personal licence (which we’ll help with) and complete your induction training.It’s a five-year commitment, so you have loads of time to build the business and get it performing brilliantly but, if you do want to leave early, there’s always the option of six months’ notice with a ‘break’ clause in the contract.
