The Red Lion is a fantastic pub, perfectly located in the centre of Bakewell, a picturesque market town in the Derbyshire Dales. This beautiful town attracts people from far and wide who come for a wander or use it as a base for walking and exploring the Peak District. The Red Lion has great curb appeal, with a traditional inn look that is well loved by locals. A recent investment into the site has made this into a beautifully restored traditional pub.
The Red Lion is set in a beautiful old stone building that is full of character. It has a great space for guests to enjoy an intimate dining experience, with two rooms served by a central bar. Both areas feature rustic fireplaces that walkers usually huddle around. Upstairs are five ensuite letting rooms that are geared towards walkers and casual stays, The Red Lion boasts a beer garden with space for over 70 to dine or enjoy a drink in the sunshine.
