The pub and location
The White Lion sits on Mill Street within the core drinking circuit of Macclesfield, a market town in Cheshire, known historically for silk, Hovis bread and its famous canal. It’s a cultural town with music events, wedding fairs and festivals. The savvy operator will take advantage of the business opportunities from visitors to the area.
The pub comprises one open-plan trading space with booths and well-positioned TVs to enjoy major live sports. Guests let their hair down in the dedicated dance floor space and live entertainment area, and there’s a kitchen catering for up to forty covers. You’ll find a flight darts focus area for self-scoring automated darts at the back.
Guests also bask in the spacious beer garden with many benches and tables during the summer with an outside bar that pops up from another building and provides a key point of interest for guests enjoying fine weather. When it is colder, guests migrate to the sidebar with an external building with a TV. The pub has no parking, but this is not an issue as there are good transport links and plenty of passing trade. You’ll keep the traditional pub cellar in good running order.
