The Bridge Inn is located on the main road leading into the attractive market town of Newport on the borders of the Shropshire/Staffordshire countryside. There are plenty of residential properties all around and the town centre is just a 2-minute walk. The Shrewsbury and Shropshire canal is next door and the well-known Harper Adams agricultural university is a short walk away too.
The Bridge Inn Newport The pub is an old coaching inn and has one central bar that services three main areas. The front of the pub, which is seen through the picture windows from the pavement, is used for relaxed drinking and informal dining. There is an area to the rear used as a dining room and this has a log burner to the far end. The well-equipped catering kitchen is also located at the rear of this area. Externally you walk through an archway to get to the garden which has bench seating and a sheltered area (this was formally the car park that could be converted back to parking if required). The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms one with an ensuite, lounge, office, kitchen, and bathroom. Trading style This pub is used for both dining and drinking and has a c50/50 wet and dry split. The dining is very informal, and the drinkers are more prone to imported beers and wines. The pub currently attracts more couples, families, and a middle-aged client base.
