The Bull Inn is a charming, large detached building dating back to 1850’s, boasting original features with a modern décor. The pub is located on the main road through the rural hamlet of Shocklach on the outskirts of the affluent village of Malpas. Malpas is located right in the heart of the historic County of Cheshire and only a 20 minute drive to the beautiful City of Chester and 15 minutes drive to the Welsh town of Wrexham.
Pub Layout
On entrance through the porch you a greeted with a traditional but fresh and modern décor. The quirky patchwork floor of hand painted tiles is balanced with wooden flooring. The open fire creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. The bar is centrally located which offers all round vision and ease of service to all areas of the pub. The catering kitchen is accessed to the left of the bar and is well equipped and spacious. The dining areas are in two sections with the rear of the building offering an area for approximately 40 covers; this can easily be separated for functions or private dining. The conservatory and central area has around 40 covers, all the furnishings are quirky with a rustic but modern feel. The bar has its own snug area with approximately four bar tables although drinkers can overflow onto other tables on a busy night. Externally there is a grassed area with approximately eight benches, a large car park and an external drinking area lends itself to community fun days, BBQ and beer festivals.

The Bull trades as a fantastic food operation serving both the local community and providing a fantastic drive to destination food pub. The standard of food on offer is high end pub food, with the previous licensee having built up a fantastic reputation with good online presence and reviews. The bar is well stocked with a variety of cask ales, modern and traditional lager offerings and on trend with an impressive array of gins.

The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen all in reasonable order.

Tie: All drinks categories are tied. For fully funded licensees on long term agreements, we offer free-of-tie options for certain drinks categories in exchange for an annual fee.

Additional Info
Annual Rent – This is our lowest rent figure associated with a Full Tie. If the tie is reduced the effective rent (via Tie Release Fees) will increase. Rent is billed and paid for weekly in advance depending on the payment terms agreed)
Security Deposit – This sum of money will be held on your account and will be returned to you on exiting of the pub based on your final account balance and the condition of the property
Working Capital – This is a recommend amount required which will be used in the day-to-day running of the business
Stock – This will be valued by an independent valuer on the day you take over the pub. This includes unbranded glassware, unopened bottles, wines, spirits, any unopened / opened kegs and cask ale providing the container is unopened
Fixtures & Fittings – This includes any item that is bolted to the floor or walls, and a fitting to be any item that is free standing or hung by a nail or hook. This will also include furniture
Training – Before signing a long term agreement, you will be required to attend our 7 Steps to Sales Success training programme. Held online over three days, you will learn marketing and business strategies that will help you to grow sales in your pub – step-by-step.
Service Charge Cost – £57.60 per week – The Admiral Taverns Premium Maintenance Package will help take care of your compliance and statutory obligations with one simple fee, whilst giving you piece of mind about your boiler and cellar cooling repair and replacement. This also includes full access to e-learning for you and your staff.
