Pub Tenancy In Halmerend – The Railway Is Available !
The Railway is ideally located on High Street, Halmer End. Halmer End is a small village in the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, neighbouring the small hamlet of Alsagers Bank and the larger village of Audley. Located opposite a school and surrounded by chimney posts there is plenty of footfall in the area. The Minnie Pit Heritage site is also close by.
Pub Layout
The Railway is a two room operation. Upon entering, to the right you will find the bar which has a mixture of fixed and loose seating, Games Machine, TV, can seat up to 30 people and boasts one of the pubs two open fires. To the left you will find the lounge which again contains a mixture of fixed and loose seating for up to 30 covers, an ideal area for dining with the second open fire.
Both rooms are serviced by one central bar. The fully equipped catering kitchen is located behind the bar & lounge and can be accessed via either. There is also a large corridor area which is currently used as a shop but our vision would be to put this back to a games room. We are planning to carry out a SPARKLE investment to both rooms.
To the front of the pub there is a small external paved area and to the rear is the carpark which facilitates approx. 9 vehicles.

The Railway is a great local community pub perfect for someone who may be local to the area and able to promote local events/activities making the pub the hub of the community. The kitchen provides the opportunity to push food sales making it the place to meet. Cask ale knowledge could be used in pushing these sales and making it the best in the area. With the aim of turning the shop back into a games room give a bigger opportunity for pub teams to play from the Railway.
