The Bedford Arms is a traditional terraced pub serving the local community in the huddle of Victorian streets off the Uttoxeter Road, Derby.
As you enter the pub from the main entrance there is cosy small bar and lounge, beyond that there are three more distinct separate areas which are all served by a central bar. These consist of a dart board area with a separate TV to watch live sport; a back room where you can sit and relax or it can be used as a small function room, this area also has its own TV; behind that there is another area with seating and a pool table. Hence it being home to a number of pool and darts teams. It also boasts a secure sun trapped beer garden at the rear which is a safe haven for children and families to use.
Due to being situated approx. 10 minute walk from Derby town centre and off the busy Uttoxeter Road you have all the local amenities on your door step from High street shopping to schools and local shops. The pub services a variety of different customer profiles from the more mature customers during the day to a mixed age group at the weekend.

Also, you’ll want to start thinking about your team; taking care of paying them and all other employment matters.Before we all sign the agreement and see you heading into a whole new life, you’ll just need to show us proof that you’ve had independent financial advice from an accountant and solicitor, as dictated by the Statutory Pub Code. And, of course, obtain your personal licence (which we’ll help with) and complete your induction training.It’s a five-year commitment, so you have loads of time to build the business and get it performing brilliantly but, if you do want to leave early, there’s always the option of six months’ notice with a ‘break’ clause in the contract.
