Overview
The Trafalgar is a fantastic retail opportunity with something for everyone, really helping making it the heart of the community. The one bar operation services 2 distinct rooms; a drinking “bar” area with darts throw and pool table and sports viewing, and a more softly furnished “lounge” for dining for 100 people, relaxed drinking and entertainment. The current quiz is well supported and end of month entertainment is a real draw to the local community. The car park is adjacent leading onto the terrace decking, paved patio and large beer garden with extensive children’s play area, a real attraction in the warmer months.
There are many local amenities within 0.5 miles. Customer base ranges from retired, young families during the day looking for lunch, to after work drinkers in the late afternoon, to evening food occasions and sport viewing in the evening. The weekends are filled with people going out for a night of entertainment and drinking occasion.
The new retailer needs to be community focused and driven to welcome one and all. The Traf has loads of stuff going on from pool, darts and sports viewing, entertainment through the week and at selected weekends is required and the retailer needs to spot on with those sales building opportunities. The beer garden is the largest in the surrounding area and needs to be maintained and utilised. The food offer is substantial with our pub classic menu and the kitchen has 5* cleanliness and safety ratings.

In addition to the £5k security deposit and legal fees required for this agreement, you will need to cover your own insurance, except building insurance, which we’ll cover. Also, you’ll want to start thinking about your team; taking care of paying them and all other employment matters.Before we all sign the agreement and see you heading into a whole new life, you’ll just need to show us proof that you’ve had independent financial advice from an accountant and solicitor, as dictated by the Statutory Pub Code. And, of course, obtain your personal licence (which we’ll help with) and complete your induction training.It’s a five-year commitment, so you have loads of time to build the business and get it performing brilliantly but, if you do want to leave early, there’s always the option of six months’ notice with a ‘break’ clause in the contract.
