The Boat is a pub situated in a rural area of Jackfield, Telford. lying south of River Severn in the Ironbridge. Its prominent picturesque position ascents to the river Severn, which makes it a popular visiting spot with an influx of visitors through the summer months. It can be reached by foot by the local community or by car through the country lanes.

Pub Layout – The Boat Inn Jackfield
On entering through the front door you are greeted with a beautiful wooden bar, to the left is the bar area home to a traditional tiled floor and welcoming log fire burner, there is six free standing traditional tables. The bar is well stocked with a premium range of spirits, world beers and three cask ale pumps. This is a great space for locals and walkers to enjoy a drink and a catch up. It follows through to a snug area again with its another log fire, this area could hold 20 diners and could be sectioned off. The small but well equipped kitchen is situated to the rear along with an above ground cellar and an enclosed prep and wash up area. Externally the beer garden is a real gem spilt into two grassed areas, the first is an enclosed space with around ten spaces, across from this overlooking the river Severn is another grassed area with a further six benches where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Trading Style: This pub oozes charm and character with parts of the building dating back to the Tudor era. It has been very drinks focused in the past with a smaller manageable food offering. It is well supported by the local community however trade accelerates during the summer months with the vast about of walkers and tourists enjoy all the area has to offer. The bar is very well stocked and is well utilised, the kitchen at present offers a snack menu daily however there is growth to unlock this kitchen with a more consistent and varied food offering. Externally there is huge scope to maximize the potential in terms of community events and music events.
