About the Pub – Blue Ball Newbury

The Blue Ball oozes charm with its modern yet rustic features, there is a traditional open fire, exposed bricks, and original beams throughout.  The well-stocked bar services both the snug and lounge area for approximately 65 covers. There is a separate function room which can hold around 40 people.  Externally this pub boasts a fantastic enclosed grassed area which has previously been transformed for community events with a pizza oven that’s a welcomed addition to the menu throughout the year. There is a car park for up to eight spaces however on street parking is permitted.

TRADING STYLE The Blue Ball is a great example of a destination food pub. The bar is well stocked with a premium drink offering across the board, including a popular cask ale selection. The commercial kitchen is well equipped allowing the pub to produce great quality food. This pub is extremely popular, not just with locals who support it all year round, but also people from surrounding villages who like to stop by for a bite to eat.  The trade here is currently a 30/70 split towards the drinks side of the business but has the opportunity to increase the food sales and appeal to a much wider audience.
