The Highcliffe is located within a large sub-urban housing estate within a short travelling distance of the market town of Guisborough. The site is situated in a mid-market demographic with a mixture of privately owned and rented housing it is a popular venue during the week and weekends and has a large target customer base that use it for relaxed eating and social drinking purposes. There are two raised sections, the first hosts traditional pub games and includes a pool table and darts board as well as some TV screens for showing live sports. The second section is used as a dining area however the table plan throughout the pub is relaxed for both dining and drinking purposes which creates a comfortable community atmosphere that is enjoyed by the locals. There is also a large, well-equipped catering kitchen that is capable of supporting a quality traditional food offer. To the rear of the pub is a small patio area set out with several picnic benches and a dedicated children’s play area, making this an excellent space for families. This is a pleasant space that overlooks a large community field that is used by the locals for various leisure activities including football games for the local league.
