It is a pleasant place adjacent to the estuary of the River Plym and has been built over the site of the once grand house and estate of Radford, the family seat of the Harris family. The pub is easily accessible by bus, car or even a short walk by the water taxi from the Barbican. There is a small local beach with views of Plymouth and the English Channel.
