The Pax Inn is the only pub in the wonderful village of Thorp Arch, near Wetherby. The village is a conservation area on the edge of the river Wharfe and has a rich History. The Pax Inn commands a central location and is an imposing stone-built property. It is a food-led pub but maintains a strong local following and retains a small traditional bar. The pub then has 2 further rooms; the intimate front dining room and the spacious restaurant/sports area. There is an external pagoda offering additional covers and a large car park. We are looking for an experienced catering couple with a flair for fresh original cooking to exploit the local business opportunities and capitalise in the existing good reputation.
The well-presented internal area is split into three. Firstly, there is the traditional bar with features such as an open fire creating a comfortable atmosphere, that is already extremely popular with the locals. The small and intimate front lounge for around 20 covers has a cosy and traditional feel, which is busy in the winter months. The large restaurant area is a versatile space, with an array of large tables spaced out around the restaurant this spot is great for dining and also provides scope for live entertainment.
The large external area boasts 11 covered booths which provide seating for around 88 covers. Additionally, on the newly laid astroturf, the mixed-sized tables provide seating for a further 50 covers. The well-maintained garden is a popular spot in the village especially in the warmer months. To the side of the Pax Inn is the entrance to the car park for around 30 vehicles, is also holds access to the village cricket field.
