Pub Layout – The Swan Coney Weston
There is a main trading bar which has a traditional feel with open fire creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. Behind this is the small dining area with 16 covers that overlooks the adjacent bowling green. There is also a separate games room with a pool table (there are pool teams in place). There are substantial outside fenced drinking areas to the front and side of the pub with car parking to the front and side. One of the fields to the rear of the pub is used for mobile caravans and camping tents and this is popular for walkers to the nearby Peddars Way and this is advertised on the national trail website. A purposely built Boules Area with equipment provided is a favourite. The Swan is an attractive pub with good areas for a number of trading uses.
Trading Style The Swan balances being at the heart of the village and also a small food destination pub. Regular drinkers including farmers are a key income stream and need to be looked after yet there is further scope to build on the established food trade. Sports, both viewing and teams are important, while embracing the local community and providing good service is even more so.
Private Accommodation Domestic accommodation is of good family size consisting of 3 bedrooms. There is also a lounge and bathroom fitted with electric shower and bath.
