Could you run this pub in Dartmouth?
The Seale Arms is a beautiful seaside pub with letting rooms set in the heart of the coastal town of Dartmouth. The pub is well loved by locals and also benefits from tourist trade in the summer months. It has a newly refurbished interior that has an open, fresh feel but with wood burners and open fireplace it’s also very cosy which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a pint of cask ale. The pub is Cask Marque accredited and has been at the heart of the local community for many years and is home to many local sports teams.
The trading area is a large open plan space with a central bar that hosts a pool table, and darts area. This area wraps around a hidden staircase that leads up to the accommodation. There are five en-suite Bed & Breakfast letting rooms, including a large family room, three king-sized rooms and a small double room. The pub has a galley-style commercial kitchen which has great potential to deliver a quality food menu to further enhance the pubs offer for locals and visitors alike.
About the local area
Dartmouth is an extremely desirable location. Set on the River Dart in Devon, it benefits from strong connections with the Royal Naval College and plays host to a major annual music festival in May and the ever-popular Dartmouth Royal Regatta at the end of August. The town is a tourist destination in its own right, offering fabulous architecture, a castle, boat trips and enjoyable strolling around the many craft shops. The pub should be able to attract visitors to stay as well as pulling people in who are enjoying day trips from the surrounding areas. Exeter and Plymouth are both commutable in about an hour.
The stated ingoing figures are correct at point of advertising. Please be aware there may be additional costs.
