Dating back to around 1850, the building retains its period charm with sash windows, a slate roof, and roughcast construction. Situated opposite the historic Tiverton Castle, the pub is surrounded by the town’s winding historic streets, independent shops, and key amenities including Tiverton Pannier Market and the local hospital. The pub is well-supported by a growing population aided by recent housing and service developments. Tiverton itself is a thriving market town of around 20,000 residents, with strong commuter links to Exeter via Train at the Parkway station, just over a ten minute walk away,. The Queen’s Head is a single-bar operation with the servery directly opposite the main entrance, leading into a spacious, open-plan trading area. The ladies’ and gents’ toilets are located at the far end, accessible via a door to the attractive courtyard patio. Beside the bar, a doorway leads to the trade kitchen and stairs to the domestic accommodation, while the same-level cellar can be conveniently accessed from the courtyard. Externally, the courtyard garden is well presented with tables, benches, and parasols, and also provides access to two skittle alleys and a rear gate to the road, where parking is available.
