You love to be hands on and you are at your happiest when you are in the thick of it either on the busy bar or in the kitchen. Experience of volume management and attention to detail will put you in good stead for the summer months when trade is at its peak. You really understand atmosphere management and this skill will be ensure that when the big matches are on, the Marine is the only place to watch the live sports. You will be a master at being able to change the tempo of the pub from a day venue to a weekend night venue with a hitch. You get a real buzz from training / coaching a large team to provide amazing service and standards every day of the year.
The Pub
The Marine Bar and Kitchen is in a prominent spot on the High Street a stone’s throw away from Crosby Coastal Park. The pub has fantastic kerb appeal and it’s hard not to notice the amazing outdoor space, and with a second garden to the back of the pub with retro games, foosball and a children’s play area the Marine most definitely has the best outdoor space in the area. The pub is spacious inside and breaks down into three main areas all serviced by one bar. Toward the back of the pub is a large open kitchen which ensures that when the sun shines volume is no problem. Punch provide a fully comprehensive menu and food is served 7 days a week.
Sports are important at the Marine and the large tv’s ensure that the guests have the best view on match days but creating that atmosphere before kick-off is key. Being on the High Street the pub is also needs to attract the weekend drinkers and a fantastic calendar of events is key.
