Overview
The Grand Union is a fantastically refurbished business in the heart of Leicester’s business area close to the Train Station, Universities, Welford Road Stadium, home to the Leicester Tigers Rugby Team, as well as to the King Power Stadium, home of the Foxes. The New Walk Museum and popular entertainment venue, De Montford Hall are also nearby, meaning plenty of passing trade to bring into the business.
The pub has a large bar that serves the whole of the pub and has space for up to 60 covers of food. There is a pool table and darts are so some classic pub games and there is outdoor seating at the front of the pub to watch the world go by all year round. The Grand Union is a pub that is currently underperforming, trading around £5,000 but has the scope and potential to deliver double that with the right operator It offers a classic pub menu and although wet driven, the pub has a lot of scope to increase food sales for an experienced food operator.

In addition to the £5k security deposit and legal fees required for this agreement, you will need to cover your own insurance, except building insurance, which we’ll cover. Also, you’ll want to start thinking about your team; taking care of paying them and all other employment matters.Before we all sign the agreement and see you heading into a whole new life, you’ll just need to show us proof that you’ve had independent financial advice from an accountant and solicitor, as dictated by the Statutory Pub Code. And, of course, obtain your personal licence (which we’ll help with) and complete your induction training.It’s a five-year commitment, so you have loads of time to build the business and get it performing brilliantly but, if you do want to leave early, there’s always the option of six months’ notice with a ‘break’ clause in the contract.
