The Royal is less than one mile from Bolton Town Centre nestled in the middle of a residential area, it is mixed housing both owner occupied and social housing with a new development of luxury apartments being built to the side, with the first phase ready to launch. The Royal Hotel has a great following from the local community and is busy throughout the day with further customers supporting events such as Bingo and Games night. It is also popular with locals coming in to watch sport.

The Royal Hotel is traditional in style, on entering through the main entrance you are welcomed into an open plan room with the bar situated to the right with a mix of both and loose seating throughout. The pub benefits from a darts area and to the rear of the bar a pool table and AWP machines. Outside is an enclosed beer terrace with benches and a covered area for smokers. Beyond that is a car park for approximately 12 cars.
