Proper Pubs is a simple yet rewarding model. By running a Proper Pub, their Operators receive unparalleled support and sound advice, with the freedom of being self-employed. This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns takes care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock, and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales. You are responsible for all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters. They also offer numerous bonuses and incentives to allow you to drive sales in your pub. It’s not only a Proper Pub, but a place to call home, giving Operators and their families a safe space to live.
Bond
When taking a pub with Proper Pubs, you will be required to pay a deposit which is usually £2,000. This is held against your account for the period of your agreement and returned in full providing there are no arrears on your account (including stock deficit) and the premises is left in a reasonable condition. In some instances, they can take a lower deposit however this can be discussed when you meet with their Business Development Manager. Please note there is an additional bond required for any animals to live.
