Hi, I’m Mark Pycroft and I work with the team at Love Your Pub. As a lot of you already would have been home cooking is becoming popular. Some people have never cooked before and are now finding a love for it. I have been working with the team at LYP to try to make light of working in your kitchen at home and make it fun without too much cost in these difficult times by improvising and making use of what you probably already have.Let’s start nice and easy today with a delicious soup. If you have veg you think is old a great way to save it from going straight into the bin is to prepare it how you would normally and then pop it in a pot and cook it all together. Add salt, pepper and a vegetable stock cube (if you have one) and let it cook.Once the veg is cooked, put contents into a blender if you have one or a hand blender. If you don’t have one of these you can do it by mashing the vegetables up as much as you can. If you like extra thick soup add potatoes to the cooking process it’s a good thickening agent.There you have it a tasty vegetable soup, which is also more than one of your five a day. This can also be frozen and saved for a later date (up to 3 months).Not bad for something you might have put in the bin!Stay safe guys and keep a look out for whats coming up next..!
