48 Market Place, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 2AG
The Victoria is a beautifully presented pub boasting a central position, just off the high street, in the historical town of Henley-on-Thames. We have just been given some updates update design schemes for a proposed plan for the Victoria Henley (changing the name to Penny Black)
This wonderful pub boasts traditional features and quirky touches. Through the development of an appropriate food offer, along with a varied drinks offer and social events schedule, there is excellent potential to grow trade levels. This would be an excellent opportunity for a dedicated publican, who will develop all areas of the business and re-establish it on the social map in Henley.
The stated ingoing figures are correct at point of advertising. Please be aware there may be additional costs.
Overview of Victoria
This beautiful public house occupies a fantastic position, just off the high street, in the historical town of Henley-on-Thames. Excellently presented due to recent improvements, Ei Publican Partnerships are planning to transform the customer offer by investing heavily in all trading areas and changing the name of the pub. Through the development of an appropriate food menu, along with a varied choice of drinks and events schedule, there is excellent potential to significantly grow revenue. This is an outstanding opportunity for an operator who has the passion to develop all areas of the trade and re-establish this spot as part of the social scene in Henley.
Regional Manager’s thoughts on Victoria
This public house is one of the few traditional pubs left in the town. It therefore enjoys a unique place in the minds of local residents and those working nearby, who wish to relax over a drink and spend quality time with friends and family in a relaxed environment. The property is in great condition throughout, having been recently refurbished. More investment is planned to enhance the customer offer, and introduce a change of name in order to put this site back onto the thriving circuit of Henley-on-Thames. I look forward to hearing from enthusiastic and passionate operators who want to make their mark in one of the finest towns in the country.
Jay Pearce, Regional Manager
Indoor trading area
The property has been refurbished within the last three years and is in fantastic condition throughout. With a centrally positioned bar, the pub is perfect for offering a warm welcome customers enter. The servery will be painted and have a copper top providing a sleek yet industrial feel, and host four cask ale pumps, international brands and a well-stocked back bar. The site will have a quirky, memorable design which creates a casual and relaxing atmosphere. The planned scheme will see the quality of the feel of the fixtures and fittings further increased to attract a greater range of custom. A mixture of chesterfield sofas, bespoke bar stools, and chic, distressed dining tables will allow customers visiting for different reasons to enjoy the pub simultaneously. A compact commercial kitchen is capable of supporting a suitable menu.
Outdoor trading area
In the sun-trap patio, a mixture of garden furniture will be accompanied by potted plants, and walled-mounted greenery to provide an oasis from the hubbub.. A small covered canopy within this area acts as a smoking solution.
Your living accommodation
Of a good size and comprising three bedrooms, a lounge, recently fitted kitchen and office space. Due to recent redecorations, it is in excellent condition and is truly a credit to the pub in every way
