Built in 1900, the Cavendish Hotel has been a popular drinking establishment in Keighley for close to 120 years. Its location on Cavendish Street in the heart of the town, gives the pub plenty of passing trade with a multitude of shops, takeaways and restaurants nearby, and the Airedale Shopping centre, just a few minutes’ walk away. Pub Layout Upon entering the pubs front entrance, you immediately enter the bar area. The horseshoe bar then continues to the right and round to the sports area and stage to the rear of the pub. On the left-hand side is a lounge style area comprising of fixed and loose seating which continues towards the back of the pub. There is an area to the back of the bar on the left-hand side which is currently under-utilised but this separate area could be used for a darts throw or a snug area. Both the ladies and gents toilets are situated to the back of the pub, behind the bar area.

TRADING STYLE The Cav is wet sales driven and is a busy pub in the heart of Keighley. Well known for its live music, karaoke and entertainment nights, it’s a bustling vibrant pub catering for the ‘big night out’. It commands a steady trade during the daytime and complimenting the weekend entertainment with live sport will allow the pub to be busy at all times and maximise its potential. To cater for a wide range of customers the Cav will need to provide a great range of standard and premium lagers along with well-known ciders and keg ales.
